Let the good times roll...

So even more good news has arrived: 

• Tuesday, Katelyn's doctor called to tell how her last spinal tap procedure and bone marrow aspiration went ( which she goes in for every other week) 

• {Some background}: Katelyn's first spinal tap occurred 2 weeks ago to check and see if she had any leukemia in her spinal fluid and the results were good - no leukemia found. 3 weeks ago she had her first bone marrow aspiration( test bone marrow for red blood cells ) which was not good and which led to her diagnosis since her body was not creating its own red blood cells found in her bone marrow. 

• Last week, Katelyn had a second spinal tap and this Monday had her third bone marrow aspiration and Tuesday we heard some WONDERFUL news: 
• Katelyn's spine continues to be free of leukemia cells
• Katelyn is bone marrow 3 weeks ago had 40% leukemia cells & now there is only 2% leukemia cells!! 
• and ... her bone marrow is now creating their own baby red blood cells!!!
